Movie poison

Movies are watched by almost every age, especially teenagers, unfortunately I happen to fall under that category, and to be perfectly honest I wish I'd never lay eyes on a rom-com. The film industry should just consist of purely action, comedy, thriller, fantasy and kids films, all with absolutely no romantic element whatsoever. From an early age a girl watches many movies about love and romance and being happy with the person you love. But to me I have started to realise what drivel these films really were, they are like poison, they just brainwash you into thinking that there will be one guy that will be perfect for you and you will both love each other and fall madly in love and get married and have a happy family. They never tell you what a huge trek it is to find that man, they also never inform you about how many cretinous, immature low-lives there are in high school.

The reality of it is, my high school isn't like movie high school, its not cool, its not nice, its not clean, and there are absolutely NO decent boys. If you're lucky you may find the odd one or two but at the most they'll have very average personalities, almost bearable looks and zero personal hygiene. Basically what I'm saying is, I went up to high school from a farely posh primary school where I was well protected from bad influences, bad language and bad teachers. So you can imagine my disappointment when after seeing enhanced films about high school romances, to go up from 300 pupils to 2,000 and still be disappointed with the amount of decent, down-to-earth, genuine guys, and knowing I had to be stuck with them for 7 years wasn't the greatest feeling. I'm a few years into high school now and things don't seem to be changing, so I'm hoping when sixth form finally comes around, other schools may have developed slightly more mature, educated guys so they can come and I will be able to know there is a god again.

In conclusion, what I'm trying to say is, my life is the furthest from a movie you could ever imagine, its dull, boring (with the odd perk) and not much seems to happen so I'm here, trying to make everyday as interesting as possible.

Until next time
